Infusion

In-Office Infusion (IOI)

Our office provides infusion for patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease. This is a setting that allows direct management and monitoring of patients in the comfort of the familiar office and staff.

We have a Gastroenterologist and/or Physician Assistant and infusion-trained Registered Nurse on staff when patients receive their infusion. Patients are given the opportunity to consult with the doctor while receiving their infusion and this increases compliance with medications and therapy.

Additional services provided:

  1. Getting prior authorization from insurance company
  2. Assistance in enrolling patient to various assistance programs
  3. Submitting copay rebate on behalf of patient

Some of the drug therapy we infuse are as follows:

  1. Entyvio (Vedolizumab)
  2. Remicade (Infliximab)
  3. Skyrizi (Rinsankizumab-rzaa)
  4. Stelara (Ustekinumab)
  5. Omvoh (Mirikizumab-mrkz)

Billing:

There are 2 options on how you will get the medication. First is the “buy and bill” whereby we provide the medication and bill your insurance for it. The other option is when your insurance allows only for the Specialty Pharmacy to provide the medication and we just provide and bill for the administration.

Appointment:

Your doctor needs to send the order to our office and one of our staff members will give you a call to schedule the appointment.
